Congradulations to Jose lopez for being a semi-finalist in the Cassini Scientist for a Day contest. All of the essays were good and are now posted on a bulletin board outside my room. Come check it out. Progress reports will be distributed the week we get back from break. I wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday and Happy New Year.

Update

Hello everyone,
The 2nd marking period has ended. Progress reports have been sent home and I hope that many of you parents have seen them. Students will be receiving their report cards on Tuesday 12/9. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at mrlucci7@gmail.com.

On this Wednesday several students in my Earth Science class will be taking part in a teleconference with NASA's JPL laboratories in California. We have several students that are finalists in the Cassini Scientist for a day competition. Congratulations to them and good luck. I will be posting about the experience shortly.

Any senior who needs a recommendation letter please see me so I can start working on it.
Liberty Science Center has been post-poned till January.
Last day before vacation is 12/23.
Marking period 3 ends January 26th. regents week is from 12/27.

END of Marking Period

Dear parents and students,

The end of the marking period is fast approaching. 11/26 is the last day. Report cards will be given out after Thanksgiving. I urge those students who need to make up work or want to get their grade up to start completing extra credit summaries. Use the links on this page to get articles and video. Marking Period #2

Let me first start by saying thank you to all the parents who came up to open school night. I hope I shed some insight into your child's education. I look forward to working with you in making this year a successful one for your child.

Second we are now into the second marking period. Our time for this period is very brief. The marking period ends on 11/26. All students please be sure your complete all assignments and study because there is no room for error in this marking period. Some important dates to keep in mind, 11/4 students are off and 11/11 there is no school. Please remember to be diligent in your studies.

Reminder lab this week will take place in room 302 (Computer room).

Contracts and Books

To all Parents:
I welcome you to another year at Ralph McKee High School. Your child will be taking a regents in June in my coarse and I will try my very best to prepare them to succeed. I have sent home a contract outlining my grading policy and classroom rules. I will be sending home a textbook very shortly. Homework is given on a weekly basis. So YES your child has homework. END OF THE YEAR

To all my students,

Thank you for a great year. I hope you gained some knowledge and understanding of the world around you and use it in the years to come. REMEMBER REGENTS is on June 20th @ 1:15 PM. I will be conducting a review session that morning at 9:00 AM in the auditorium. I would like to get pizza and drinks if everyone could chip in 3 bucks. You worked long and hard all year, lets wrap this up and enjoy our summer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Welcome back. I hope the holidays were good. Now it is time to get back to business. This is the agenda for the remainder of the term.
- The last class will be on 1/18.
- Science Fair Projects are due on 1/14
- Presentations will begin on 1/14 and run through 1/16
- Review for the final will be next week.
- The final will be two days 1/17 and 1/18 - bring a pencil.
- All HW and bonus work must be handed in before the 18th
- Independent Study students must get their work in or they will not receive credit for the coarse.
- Saturday Academy has resumed - lab make-up is available Review for January tests is also available.
