AVID -PERIOD 3

Dear students,

Here are some reminders for when we return this week.

1. Reports based on trip to NYUPOLY are due . Make sure you included the following:
      a. research you obtained before the trip
      b. information gathered during the trip
      c. what a student could gain from goin to this school and what are its perks.
      d. your own personal opinion of the school what you though and what you did not like.

2. Reminder: on Tuesday the St. Johns Tutuors as well as Mrs. Seaver And Mrs. Cooper from the AVID Regional Team will be visiting us. Please be prepared with questions for the tutorology. Remember use your level of questions. During this session NO QUESTIONS ON COLLEGE AND CAREERS will be accepted. Subject questions only. I.e. math, science, english, history, music, health, etc....

3. Your blogs will be due by Wednesday 2/24/10. Please make sure you link your blog to my blog and are posting reviews of each others blogs.

4. Students who were chosen for the JP Morgan Chase Initiative please be diligent in getting your essays complete as well as sitting down with your parents to fill out the information needed. I am working on the transcripts any shcool information needed. I will be meeting with your teachers to see who will be wiling to write you a recommendation.
